RATING

HTC has released the new HTC Desire X Android Handset (Smartphone). The overall consensus is the HTC Desire X is a very capable and all inclusive smartphone that is correctly priced for the average consumer. Essentially, you will get exactly what you pay for. It is not the world’s greatest and most technologically advanced smartphone, but, on the other hand, it is an above average phone by today’s standards. It is the type of smartphone that will not blow consumers away with over-the-top amazing features, but it is the type of phone that most consumers will end up owning.

Design

The design of the HTC Desire X is very typical for HTC. The overall look of the device fits right in line with other HTC smartphones.

Hardware

Some upgrades have been made to the phone’s hardware. However, the device still maintains many of the hardware norms of a year ago. The device performs well enough, but there is not really anything to wow consumers, which is one of the reasons this phone is considered middle of the road.

Display

With quality viewing angles and a very vivid picture, the display is one of the highlights of the HTC Desire X.

Software

The HTC Desire X is well equipped with the latest version of Sense 4.1 on top of the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system.

Interface

The interface of the new HTC Desire X offers quick launching apps from a more open and flexible home screen over other HTC models.

Overall, the HTC Desire X is a quality phone with all the standard features consumers look for in a smartphone. Although it is not the most advanced smartphone to hit the market lately, it is fully capable and priced right to be enjoyed by the masses.
