If you have wanted to be able to view and/or show more content, favorites, and retweets through embedded tweets, then you should be pleasantly surprised. Twitter has rebuilt and redesigned embedded tweets to better serve user needs.
Tweaks and Updates Will be Included
Twitter has tweaked, updated, and redesigned the embedded tweet feature. The tweet boxes, which when previously embedded were content limited and sometimes difficult to read, have been rebuilt with more content and retweet space. The increased room will allow for easier reading as well. With more space the amount of content, including favorite counts that can be displayed will also increase. An auto-expansion feature will also be included to increase the visibility of Twitter’s card partners. Before this enhancement, only YouTube videos and Twitter generated content would auto-force the expansion of embedded tweets.
Tweet Embedding Made Faster and Easier
For those of you hosting third-party websites, you will be pleased to hear that the newly upgraded embedded tweet feature will allow for faster loading times and easier embedding. There will be a link labeled “more” available for users to click on to more easily retrieve the embed code. The “more” link lessens the number of steps necessary for tweet embedding. Some people voraciously embed tweets and will now only be able to embed tweets faster. The only down size to the updated and redesigned tweet embed feature is that the increase in size will be applied to all features across the web, which may mess up the layout of several websites, if their web administrators are not aware of the change.
